Its a fabric full of princesses! Found it at cottage patch some months ago. Decided to cut them up into little pieces and patch 'em up. First sashing was a 1.5" pinkish spray fabric.
Next was a 3" lilac small dots and finished it up with a 5.5" small flower printed fabric in yet another shade of pink.
5 different princesses all lined up . . . .
Backing fabric was a big polkadot lite pink (perfect!) and binding was a dark tone-on-tone purple.
A Princess Quilt in pink & purple! Its a L-O-N-G one.
I had the animal print fabric from Sevenberry since Xmas 2009. Dug it up and decided to put it to good use. Simply cut it up into 6" squares and paired it up with a blue + purple 4-patch.
Even had enough to make a matching pillow.
Put some things together here to make into a gift.
Lovely BIG purple polkadots as backing fabric and went with marbled dark blue fabric for its binding.
A asked if I could please do the "Pink Squares Quilt" again. So I said yes. Good way to scrap-bust all my pinks anyway. She wants it in a single bed size, and I said I would try . . . .
The squares are all done up and I've put a solid white all around as a 1st border. Its looking pretty big now. Could be my very 1st single size bed :-)
Do I finish up with the fabric above - pink + blue flowers? . . . .
. . . . or this one - pink + white flowers? Let me know A, so I can finish it up for you. Tnx!
Its DONE! Remember this one, the one that took forever? D.O.N.E. All 12 hand-stitched flower-wheels.
After the brightly coloured flower-wheels on pristine white solid, went with a 2" black with multi-coloured dots. Next was a 2" yellow, then a 2.5" red and then a 3" green and finally a 3" bright blue.
Backing was cream coloured fabric with tiny blu-ish buds and binding was a strong purple. All the colours of the flower-wheels.
It was a sweet, pastel coloured Disney Princess panel which I bought from Cottage Patch, Ampang.
There were 4 Princesses - Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora & Belle. All my favourites! Worked with 6 blocks (4 Princess + 2 names : 'Aurora & Belle').
Worked with only 2 colours - pink & lite purple fabric in hand spray effect, stripes & dots. First was a 1.5" lite pink polkadot, next was a 3" lite purple, then for fun, I added a 1.5" striped purple and lastly, I returned to the pink polkadot at 5.5". It all worked well!
Backing fabric was a complimentary purplish print and binding was the same lite purple solid.
