A Homemade Guitar for Aaron

I thought it would be fun to share one of Jonathan's recent creations. Jonathan has a guitar but Aaron's ukalele is currently needing repair so Jonathan decided to make him a guitar.
Here they are, playing their guitars.
Why I included this with the Thrifty Green Thursday is because when we were finishing our downstairs we had quite a few scraps leftover from putting up our tongue and grove and knowing how kids often enjoy building things I talked Ken into saving some of the bigger ones and so we filled a big box with scraps that we have in a corner of the garage. That box of scraps has come in quite handy. Jonathan and the other kids love building stuff from time to time and even Ken and I have gotten stuff from it for various projects. The boys also have nice containers of nails which they collected when we were pulling the shingles off of our house this summer.
I am really pleased when the kids are able to work on fun projects that are free and they are also "green" because they are using something that would have otherwise been thrown away.

They also decided to paint it so here is the finished project.
